How do you find time to write? With working full time, keeping up a house , cooking, cleaning& doing laundry there never seems to be enough time to write, let alone think of what to write about. I have not even had time to go over all the wonderful notes I have from the Christian Writers conference, let alone act on them.
This blog is the one positive thing I have done since the conference, along with adding 1000 words to my story. (only 12000 more to go). Please pray for me that God will speak through me to touch hearts for Him.
I am counting the days until it is time for Montrose again.
I am in the process of enlarging a fiction story about a person in a coma, and could use any personal or medical information you mightbe wiling to share. I have listed some things I have already found out, but I am specifically interested in whether people in a coma can hear and/or react to, what they hear.
“As a nursing student, I remember my instructors encouraging us to speak to comatose patients. That thought was always in the back of my mind when I worked as an intensive-care nurse at Johns Hopkins Hospital. March 18, 2010|By Lynn Heiderman | Special to The Baltimore Sun”
“Many research articles have been written about whether patients in a coma hear people talking to them. According to studies, hearing is the last sense to go when a person becomes unconscious. Other studies have found that after regaining consciousness, some patients report that they heard and understood various conversations that took place while they were unconscious.”
Let me know what you think and if you have any evidence either way would you?
God is so great to His children and sometimes He plans the most wonderful surprises for us. The Montrose Bible Conference Christian Writers Conference was one of those wonderful surprises God had planned for me.
Before this past week I had only heard of Montrose Bible Conferenc, but did not really know about it and had never visited it. I had never heard of the Christian Writers conference that they sponsor every year.
A very good friend of mine was visiting MBC one day about 2 months ago and she picked up a brochure on the Christian Writers Conference and brought it to me, thinking it was something I might enjoy. I sent in my registration, not knowing what to expect but thinking , if nothing else it would be a nice vacation.
God had much bigger plans for that week, Not only did I have a very restful vacation in a beautiful place, but I also made some wonderful Christian friends who share my love of writing, I received a notebook full of links and data for me to research when I returned home, and I was priveledge to be taught and guided by some of the most amazing people who only wanted to help me be a better writer.
Thank You God for this wonderful special surprise, and if You are willing, may I go there next year and every year thereafter.
